Ode to a blankie, fresh from the dryer

Sweet, quilted fabric, full of fluff and warm, I have never loved anything more.

Here’s to the Crazy Ones

Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits. The rebels.
The troublemakers. The round
pegs in the square holes - the
ones who see things differently.
They’re not fond of rules and
they have no respect for
the status quo. You can praise
them, disagree with them,
quote them, disbelieve them,
glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing that you
can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things.

- Jack Kerouac

What I aspire to be.

It’s stuff like this that allowed Jack Kerouac inspire me to be a writer as a teenager.  And why he still holds a really dear place in my heart, despite the fact that I now know what a major, major ass he was.
